EMPLOYMENT HEADACHES

They say that the economy is picking up!  they say jobs are coming back to the area!  When are we going to see the real numbers of how the economy is really doing!   the reason that i am writing this is that 2 manufacturing plants right here in my town have shut down, one is doing a complete liquidation of all assets of equipment and material!  they are holding an auction in April to sell off everything.. the 2nd plant is just sitting idle with no movement at all, no workers, no trucks in or out,nothing at all!  Appleton paper near here is is gone, hundreds of jobs lost!  the postal service has closed it's sort service and moved it to another part of the state!!  Now the oil companies decided to raise gas prices and those who can't afford to pay for it are going to suffer!  I keep posting these concerns for the benefit of everyone who reads this Blog!!  ONLY YOU MR.AND MRS.AMERICA CAN TAKE A STAND TO SAY NO MORE!!!!!!  It will take us all to call or write to our Government Reps. especially in your areas that you live to let them know that all of this is not Exceptable!  High gas prices is just simply Highway robbery !!!!!  It will take every person to make there voices heard....WAKE UP BEFORE YOUR RIGHTS ARE GONE AND YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!  I don't know what else to say, getting run over by policy makers is getting to much and nobody seems to give a $%#^^$  about it, even when it funnels down hill to the lowest man!!!! well one day it will end and it will be to late, so those of you who say it will not happen, you will be the first one it grabs..and it will happen!!!
                      WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!! YOU ARE GETTING BLED DRY AND THERE WILL BE NO FUTURE FOR ANYONE!!

What's on the Menu Today...BACON!!!

Mmm...Bacon!  Fat, succulent meat cut from the belly of big old hog, fried up and sizzling in it's own grease.  Only I'm not actually talking about food here this morning.  I had another kind of fat hog in mind to carve up today--the OIL COMPANIES!!  For those of you following me on google+ you already saw me post my friend Verna's blog and I had to add my two cents. 

The economy sucks, there's no jobs anywhere, and none of that is new news.  Especially not for me.  I grew up in southern Louisiana and I've seen it all happen before back home.  Morgan City had plenty of jobs when I was little.  You could stand on the levy and look out at the gulf and count the oil rigs off shore.  My grandfather worked for one of the oil companies down there too and my dad worked for a company that supplied pipe packing material to the rigs.  Then some bunch of executives in the oil industry got the bright idea to cap wells that were still producing, lay off all the workers and start getting nearly all our oil from OPEC.

One thing the Deep Water Horizon disaster proved is that there's still an abundant supply of oil in the gulf.  But I already knew that.  There is no shortage of oil that we could produce right here in the US folks.  NONE!! There are thousands of capped wells out west too.  I saw those when I drove a semi cross-country.  You know what all that capped oil could be?  JOBS!!!  Hundreds of thousands of jobs!  Cheap prices at the pump!  More jobs in the auto industry again as people could afford new cars.  Cheaper merchandise in the stores 'cause it wouldn't cost so much to ship everything too.  In other words, a BOOMING economy instead of a failing one!!

So why is our government continuing to allow these fat hog oil companies to bury us?  It is within the government's power to say "Enough!" and take over the old wells and cap prices at the pump until the economy recovers.  I keep hearing "The government is not in the banking business" "The government is not in the car making business" "The government is not blah, blah, blah!" How about the government being in the business of doing whatever it takes to get the country solvent again?  How about the government being in the business of getting people off unemployment and welfare and back to work again?  How about the government being in the business of giving us all some hope that things will be better in the future?

Guess what GOVERNMENT!  That IS your JOB!!  The welfare of this country is your JOB!  The economy is your JOB!  It is your JOB to cut the blight and right now the oil companies are causing economic stain and blight to our country!  Not to mention the fact that we keep handing over billions of dollars every year for oil to the middle east, the very people who would like nothing more than to see us crumble as a nation.  Tell me how that makes any sense at all? 

The truth is WE DON'T NEED FOREIGN OIL!!!  We have our own, more than enough to last until a viable alternative is on the market.  If the oil companies cry that they don't have enough refining facilities to produce more fuel, order them to build more!  It's jobs to build more and run more refineries. WIN!  Give them a deadline to produce an affordable alternative fuel.  There's no excuse for them to not be producing ethanol and methanol in abundance.  Cars back in the '40s used to run on the stuff, its not like the car makers don't know how to build engines that can use it.  Sugar is the best source for ethanol and every state in the country can grow sugar!  Every garbage dump in the world produces methane and so does every pig farm, cattle farm, and waste water treatment plant!  These sources are available RIGHT NOW!! We could start production, get people back to work and get the economy strong again all before the next presidential election if the government would just step up, DO THEIR JOB and take charge of the situation! 

America needs to step up and be a leader in the world again and this is how to do it!  Stop being dependent on foreign oil and become the world leader in alternative fuel production!  It's time we carve a big old chunk out of the belly of that fat oil hog and fry us up some bacon!  WAKE UP AMERICA!!  It's BREAKFAST TIME!  Whose HUNGRY?

hello everyone!  this is going to be a fun year. The GOP can't seem to get there affairs in order!  BIG SURPRISE.. since these guys can't come to a mutual ground maybe they need to all drop out until the next big election in 4 years from now!   the reason for this blog is gas is going up again and more jobs seem to be leaving again!  there is a company that has been here for awhile, FORTIS plastics has decided to leave the area and move else where.  more jobs are going away and this is unfair to the  people in the area!  we have all the people from our GOVERNMENT trying to see if they can get something for nothing... at least that is how i view things being with no job because they are to busy worrying about trivia that really isn't really important right now! GIVE GIVE GIVE that what they always are wanting from those that don't have it to give.. what are we to do now?  God forgive us if the wrong people get into office!!!  AMERICA YOUR VOTE COUNTS!!!  Please look around you and your community and decide what is most important....people are  till losing there homes due to mortgage companies keeping to higher rates and banks still not lending and so forth and so on!!!

economic chaos pt2.

hello again friends! just a short note of interest right now, here is a small concern about benefits for those of us who aren't employed at the moment!  I was reading on a website earlier today that unemployment benefits might not be around after the first of the year!   they are talking about cutting them out or getting rid of it completely!  so now what are we supposed to do if this happens?  jobs are still scarce unless you have a College degree.  folks, this is getting old and it's time to start sending letters to your REPS. wherever you are.. let them know that enough is enough.  employers don't want to pay squat to get people..temp to hire offices seem to be the ones with all the jobs at hand with no benefits at all.   I hate writing about things of this nature, but it seems that nobody gives damn about it or they would be flooding these offices with their concerns and grievances!!!! GET REAL AMERICA!!!!!WE ARE SCREWED because congress is out for the rest of the year..

homeless in america

hello again friends!
  on my last blog i wrote about jobs here!  Now i was just watching the news about families who are homeless and no place to go except in to shelters or into there cars to survive, so why are we still letting big business and large banks control the American taxpayer?  Folks do not blame the homeless for there problems, for whatever reason there is, I keep wondering why we just look the other way and don't figure out a way to fix this problem!  Right now it is mostly job loss in America....now is the time to send letters to your elected officials in office and voice your concerns!!  Occupy wall street  is a good idea, but they are going about it the wrong way! Don't go getting yourself arrested over this, This is way to much work and nobody is listening!  This is why the net is your friend- you can reach others about these issues we are having with jobs and homelessness...YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT!!!! help fix the problem or continue to sit there and do nothing, THE CHOICE IS YOURS!   But do not blame those who are homeless because of these issues!
